Folds Flat, Opens To Glow
Closed it looks like a small wooden book. Open it out and it becomes a soft lantern, which is the trick that makes people pick it up.
Wooden Covers, Paper Light
Wooden covers protect the paper leaves inside, so the lamp survives being thrown into a bag far better than it looks like it should.
Rechargeable For Nights Off Grid
Charge it before you leave and it lights a tent, a cabin or a balcony with no socket anywhere in sight.
Questions about this piece
How does the folding work?
The paper leaves fan open between two wooden covers. Open it wide for a full lantern or part way for a softer half glow.
Is it really rechargeable?
Yes, it charges by cable and then runs on its own battery, which is what makes it useful for camping and power cuts.
Can I change the light colour?
It offers three colour settings, so you can pick a warm glow for reading in bed or a cooler light for practical use.
Does the paper tear easily?
The leaves are made to be opened and closed regularly, and the wooden covers shield them completely when it is folded away.
Does it make a good gift?
It makes a practical gift, because it works as a reading light, a night light and a portable lantern in one small object.
